Summer Day Camp CounselorWe are looking for energetic, responsible, and positive individuals to join our Summer Day Camp team! Camp Counselors help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children throughout the summer. This position is ideal for high school and college students who enjoy working with kids, being active, and spending time indoors and outside. This is a seasonal position for summer employment.Position SummarySummer Day Camp Counselors supervise and interact with campers throughout daily activities, games, and field trips. Counselors help lead activities, encourage participation, and ensure campers have a safe and memorable camp experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise campers in both small and large group settingsLead and participate in games, activities, and creative playHelp plan and organize daily activities for campersEnsure a safe, positive, and inclusive environmentAssist with field trips, including walking trips around the community and off-site trips (such as parks or zoos)Supervise campers during bus transportation and off-site activitiesEncourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behaviorCommunicate with fellow staff and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operationsServe as a positive role model for campersPreferred QualificationsHigh school student (age 14+) or college studentEnjoys working with childrenResponsible, dependable, and enthusiasticComfortable leading games and activitiesAbility to work well with a teamCPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)What You'll GainLeadership and teamwork experienceOpportunity to work with kids and make a positive impactResume-building experience for careers in education, recreation, or childcareA fun, active summer work environmentWork ScheduleDay shiftBenefitsFlexible scheduleEmployee discountOther
